Inside-Out Braided Hairstyle for Long Hair

Everyone wants to be Elsa from Frozen. I must admit, I also fell in love with that her hairstyle after watching the movie and I simply love the her hair looks. The response on this blog on has been positive for her hairstyle which made me wonder if there are other tutorials out there with her hair style.

That is when I stumbled upon this one. This hairstyle was inspired by Disney's Elsa and is called the inside out braid. It works perfectly for long hair and I love how you get that voluminous look. In terms of time you would be surprised on how long this look. For me it look just over 5 minutes but I have been doing hair for a while now. Depending on your skill level, you may have different results.

What you will need for this tutorial:

Alterna Bamboo Anti Breakage Thermal Spray
Alterna Bamboo Kendi Oil
Jonathan Dry Dirt
Oscar Blandi Dry Teasing Dust
Hair pins
Hair extensions

If you are ready, follow these simple steps to achieve this hairstyle:

Step 1:  Apply Hair Oil on Dried hair
Step 2:  Apply Anti-heat protect-ant on hair.
Step 3:  Apply Curl primer to hair
Step 4:  Curl your hair up to create volume, use hair pins to pin your hair up for at least 10 minutes
Step 5:  Apply hair powder to hair
Step 6:  Tease your hair and set it with hairspray
Step 7:  Use hair extensions if necessary, if not then just tease your hair some more.
Step 8:  Apply wax before braiding
Step 9:  Gather the back of your crown into a half up pony tail
Step 10: Split your ponytail into 3 sections and start your braid, take the sides strands and cross them with the middle strand. Add hair to the side strands before doing a normal braid
Step 11: Continue step 10 all the way down and then tie with an elastic band.
Step 12: Pull out the braids to make it more voluminous

In just 12 simple steps you have finished your braid. I would recommand this braid to anyone going on a casual date. This style may not be formal enough for prom, but it sure is a great one. If you are having trouble, a full video tutorial  to this hairstyle is below:
